The San Diego Convention Center's address is 111 West Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. The Center is conveniently located near the 5, 94 and 163 freeways. Below are driving directions from Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix.

From Los Angeles to San Diego
Take 405/5 South
Take Front Street exit towards Civic Center
Veer Right on Front Street
Turn Left onto Harbor Drive
Approximate driving time: 2 hours

From Las Vegas to San Diego
Take 15 South
15 South will become 215 South (San Bernardino/Riverside)
Merge onto CA 163 South
Stay straight to go onto 10th Avenue exit
Turn Right onto Market Street
Turn Left onto Front Street
Turn Left onto Harbor Drive
Approximate driving time: 5 hours

From Phoenix to San Diego
Take 10 West toward Los Angeles

Parking

On-site private vehicle parking is available at the San Diego Convention Center's 1,950-vehicle underground garage located below the building. Enter the parking garage on Harbor Drive between First Ave. and Fifth Ave.

  • The cost is $10 per vehicle per day for Convention Center events and $10–$20 for events held at PETCO Park.
  • Payment is due upon entry and there are no in-and-out privileges.
  • No overnight or RV parking is permitted.

Directly across the street from the Center, on the corner of Harbor and 8th Ave., is a 2,000 space parking structure.

Off-site parking is available at numerous nearby parking lots and garages in Downtown San Diego,; many are within walking distance of the Center. Parking lots and garages are individually owned and operated; prices vary by location.

Metered street parking is available in some areas. Parking meters are enforced Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., unless otherwise posted. Metered spots are free on Sunday and designated holidays. Meters accept nickels, dimes, quarters and prepaid electronic debit cards.

Attention Nationals and Citizens of Visa Waiver Program Countries: Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA)

As of 12 January 2009, all nationals and citizens of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries will be required by law to obtain a travel authorization prior to initiating travel to the United States under the VWP.  This authorization may be obtained through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), a free internet application administered by the Department of Homeland Security though a U.S. government website.
