Expert testifies that VPIphotonics’ products help win DoD
San Diego (March 23, 2010) - VPIsystems is pleased to announce Version 8.5 of its market-leading Photonic Design Automation suite VPItransmissionMaker & VPIcomponentMaker. Version 8.5 provides many new modeling features, improved usability and advances in design process and data analysis.
Version 8.5 offers enhanced capabilities for BER estimation of systems with DmPSK-type modulation formats, statistically balanced generation of m-ary random symbol streams, and significant modeling advances for WDM-PONs, OFDM systems, and dynamic optical networks.
Among the usability advances of Version 8.5 are improved Search and Quick Find functionalities, enhanced control of multiple (possibly remote) simulation servers, and improved data visualization and analysis features of VPIphotonicsAnalyzer.
Further, VPIcomponentMaker Active Photonics provides new modeling advances supporting better the design of Photonic Integrated Circuits, namely new models for passive waveguide and EAM sections.
VPIcomponentMaker Active Photonics has proved instrumental in winning many contracts for companies in the past and is set to deliver the same outstanding results with its improved capabilities.
