Submit Postdeadline Papers

Information on OFC/NFOEC 2013 coming soon.

OFC Technical Session

The submission deadline for Postdeadline Papers is February 21st, 12:00 pm noon EST (17:00 GMT)

Dear Colleagues:

The purpose of post-deadline papers is to give conference participants the opportunity to hear new and significant material in rapidly advancing areas, to trigger critical examination of the ideas and follow-on work within the community at the earliest possible opportunity. Papers should, for example, establish a new benchmark for performance, propose and evaluate a new architectural paradigm or system construct, or present groundbreaking techniques or novel elements. Only those papers judged to be truly excellent and compelling in their timeliness will be accepted for presentation in a limited number of post-deadline sessions.

We encourage you to share your research and submit your postdeadline paper for review to the 2012 combined meeting of the Conference on Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) and the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (NFOEC), which will be held March 4-8, 2012 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

OFC/NFOEC is the field's premier international conference, with the most stimulating and comprehensive coverage of cutting-edge basic and applied developments anywhere. OFC/NFOEC will provide unparalleled insight into what's next in optical communications and networking.

This is your opportunity to present your work in a setting that encourages one-on-one interaction and the exchange of ideas with your colleagues in the field.

Areas covered by the conference include all aspects of optical networks, optical communication systems and devices used to enable them. Topics likely to generate much interest include green networks, data center networking, spatial multiplexing, coherent detection for high spectral efficiency, 100G and beyond, wireline-wireless networking and high-speed photonic integration.

OFC Technical SessionWe hope you will spend a few days with us and other members of the optical communications community in Los Angeles––the entertainment capital of the world. While in Los Angeles be sure to visit the new, one–of–a–kind entertainment complex L.A. LIVE, located next to the convention center. This spectacular area covers six city blocks and houses a world–class sports venue, 50 restaurants and countless entertainment options including nightclubs, concert venues, and the brand new interactive Grammy Museum.

Mark March 4–8 on your calendar today; then be sure to submit your postdeadline paper before the deadline of February 21, 2012, 12:00 pm noon EST (17:00 GMT). We look forward to seeing you in Los Angeles!

Sincerely,
